Today, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky are recovering from the remenants of Hurricane Ike blowing through yesterday. See some of the damage pictures below. I was sent home from work as we had no power :-) oh darn! However, hopefully I won't have to do too much housework :-).

Quiet Friday Afternoon at Home

I have to work tomorrow so I took a half day today. This is how April spent it after our long walk.
She likes to watch the world go by!

Fish Named Guinness

Ask Greg sometime about the incident with the garbage disposal. While you are at it, he loves to talk about the time he drove around with trash in his car all day.

Hey

Hey everyone. This is Alex. Sorry i haven't been posting lately, i have been a little busy. I have been in school lately. Me and my dad have been going go carting and having a lot of fun.

I have been studying in school so i can get an A on my Spanish test. It has been very busy here in Florida, and i will keep trying to update my posts on the blog

  8. I made it 8 days without eating out once!
  9. I have to sleep with my bedroom, bathroom & closet doors closed, if they are open I cannot settle into sleep.

Walking the Dog

As many of you know Greg got me a puppy for Valentine's Day. No, this was not a cruel joke, I asked for a puppy and absolutely adore her. We have not been very faithful about walking her as much as we should have been, which results in a very bad dog that runs around and jumps all over the furniture as she attempts to burn off excess energy. So since we haven't eaten out in a week, we introduced walking into our overall health improvement plan.

Let me tell you walking a puppy on a 85 degree day can result in some funny pictures!

This is April getting ready to go down the slide at the park!

Who needs to drink the water when you can lay in it.

Oh, I am supposed to be standing to drink out of my bowl? You don't mind if I lay here and drink out of it do you?

Also, the Irish played on Saturday and it gave Greg and April the opportunity to show off their matching jerseys!! Aren't they cute????

Day 2 of Eating In

So this week Greg and I decided we would commit ourselves to eating in for seven straight days. Since we both work full time it is easy to get into a rut and eat out 3-4 times a week. I get sick when I think of all the money we are wasting.

Tonight I decided we would have homemade chinese food and I made Mongolian Beef, Crab Rangoon and Sweet & Sour Sauce (a word to the wise - do not use the pineapple juice unless you really like pineapple flavored sauce!) . The Mongolian Beef was fabulous!!! We baked up 2 of the crab rangoons and tasted them before we decided they must be fried!

We also have developed a problem with April. Every night when we put dinner on the table this is what we get:

We must figure out how to end this!!!
