Walking the Dog
As many of you know Greg got me a puppy for Valentine's Day. No, this was not a cruel joke, I asked for a puppy and absolutely adore her. We have not been very faithful about walking her as much as we should have been, which results in a very bad dog that runs around and jumps all over the furniture as she attempts to burn off excess energy. So since we haven't eaten out in a week, we introduced walking into our overall health improvement plan.
Let me tell you walking a puppy on a 85 degree day can result in some funny pictures!
This is April getting ready to go down the slide at the park!
Who needs to drink the water when you can lay in it.
Oh, I am supposed to be standing to drink out of my bowl? You don't mind if I lay here and drink out of it do you?
Also, the Irish played on Saturday and it gave Greg and April the opportunity to show off their matching jerseys!! Aren't they cute????

Day 2 of Eating In
So this week Greg and I decided we would commit ourselves to eating in for seven straight days. Since we both work full time it is easy to get into a rut and eat out 3-4 times a week. I get sick when I think of all the money we are wasting.
Tonight I decided we would have homemade chinese food and I made Mongolian Beef, Crab Rangoon and Sweet & Sour Sauce (a word to the wise - do not use the pineapple juice unless you really like pineapple flavored sauce!) . The Mongolian Beef was fabulous!!! We baked up 2 of the crab rangoons and tasted them before we decided they must be fried!
We also have developed a problem with April. Every night when we put dinner on the table this is what we get:
We must figure out how to end this!!!

Melissa is back in Kentucky
Well, after a long evening of traveling and enjoying all the Dulles B terminal had to offer, I am back home again. I returned to work today exhausted!
Alex had his first day of high school in Florida today, I hear it went well. So well in fact that due to some hurricane his second day of high school has already been canceled.
There is not much else going on here. I am thinking about taking up geocaching, I heard about it on NPR this afternoon it sounds a lot like letter boxing but with my GPS.

What is letter boxing?
You may be wondering what letter boxing is. Letter Boxing is an activity where you take a stamp book and a stamp pad and you search for a box with designated clues you find on a website. The websites where you find the clues are either on www.atlasquest.com or www.letterboxing.org . The clues will either tell you where to go, or give you clues to know where to go. Once you find the box, you take the stamp and mark it in your book. Once your done, put the contents from the box back in the box and put it back where you found it.
